- ➤ Central PA community events are serving pork and sauerkraut meals for good luck on New Year’s Day. In Lancaster, the Lancaster Church of the Brethren offers a meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. while St. Joseph Catholic Church provides free meals from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. FOX43

- ➤ Experts advise checking vehicles and equipment for spotted lanternfly egg masses—hidden hitchhikers found on train cars, shipping pallets, and even camp chairs.
