- ➤ In Manheim Township, an escaped pig jumped from a transport truck near the Route 30 interchange on Thursday and napped on the grass until Lancaster Farm Sanctuary staff rescued it at 2:30 p.m. A Good Samaritan noticed the open truck gate and called 911, saving the pig from a grim fate. PennLive
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A burst pipe outside Prima Theatre flooded the lobby, theater, and basement, causing extensive damage and canceling its February show. The theater plans to reopen in April with The Complete History of America, abridged (per executive producer Mitch Nugent). WGAL

- ➤ Senator Dave McCormick toured the CNH manufacturing plant in New Holland on Friday, Jan. 9 at 12:50 p.m. where he examined the facility’s innovative technology and sustainability efforts — a longstanding hub on Diller Avenue. WGAL
- ➤ A UGI natural gas main replacement project is underway in Elizabethtown and is affecting North Poplar, Cottage Avenue, and streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays until March. Drivers and businesses should plan for lane and parking restrictions and periodic service interruptions (UGI may access properties for equipment checks). PennLive
