ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A motorcyclist was injured (injury extent unknown) in a crash on Ironville Pike near Burma Road in West Hempfield Township at 6:15 a.m. Friday and crews have kept the road closed until they clear the scene.  WGAL
  • A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Friday morning at the 400 block of North Duke Street near East Lemon Street in Lancaster City at about 11:45 a.m.—the victim is receiving treatment by EMS while police investigate the incident.  WGAL

CRIME NEWS

  • Lancaster Police are seeking help from the public to identify a man riding a black motorcycle who hit a vehicle near Prince and King Streets on March 12th, then punched the driver, followed the victim home and damaged the car while others on bikes + a unicycle are also under investigation.  WDAC

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Opponents filed an appeal on Friday in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to stop the FERC’s preliminary permit for a pumped storage project that would flood land and homes along the Susquehanna River—groups say the $2.3 billion plan will permanently scar the natural and historic landscape in Chanceford Township. The appeal adds to ongoing legal challenges against the project’s environmental impact.  FOX43
