COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Friends of the Elizabethtown Public Library host a Spring Book Sale in the library's lower level, offering over 13,000 titles from March 24 to 28. Today admission is free from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m and proceeds help fund library programs & services.  FOX43

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Neffsville Veterinary Clinic closed Tuesday after a fire damaged parts of the building Monday evening—no patients or staff were injured, and the clinic said it will contact those with upcoming appointments as it assesses the damage.  Local 21 News

BUSINESS NEWS

  • American Honda Motor Co. has recalled 19,406 motorcycles for 2023-2025 models due to a loose handlebar lock screw that could affect steering. Dealers will replace the screw for free, and owner notification letters will be mailed on Friday, May 8.  Daily Voice

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Doherty Petri School of Irish Dance in Lancaster has announced that seven dancers (Jase Lawrence, Ezekiel Pujol, Isaiah Pujol, Sarah Smith, William "Liam" Snodgress and Aria Ticen) qualified for the 2026 World Irish Dance Championships scheduled from March 29 to April 5 in Schaumburg, Illinois.  WGAL

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Lancaster School District board voted Tuesday night to furlough 109 staff due to a $10 million budget deficit. The furlough will begin this summer, causing concerns over student services.  Local 21 News

  • The FBI warned Lancaster residents yesterday that hackers exploited outdated routers and insecure smart devices to mask illegal activities. Officials advised updating firmware and changing default passwords — steps designed to secure home WiFi connections.  Daily Voice

HEALTH NEWS

  • Federal regulators expanded the recall of frozen foods made by Ajinomoto Foods North America on March 23 due to glass contamination from carrots; products including Trader Joe's Vegetable Fried Rice are at risk.
