Good morning, Lancaster.

On Sunday, the Thrifty Kitty Boutique opened at 2195 Lincoln Highway East in Lancaster and the center was renamed the Betsy and Ted Lewin Adoption Center for Cats and Critters—honoring longtime Humane Pennsylvania supporters—while food trucks, refreshments and flea market finds marked the event. Vendors could rent spaces for $30—ensuring all proceeds benefited animal programs—supporting ongoing Humane Pennsylvania initiatives.

WalletHub's study (released on April 1) shows that Pennsylvania taxpayers face an overall tax burden of 8.58%, which is lower than states such as New York and New Jersey.
