- ➤ Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation in Lancaster County is treating injured rodents like squirrels, opossums, hamsters, and groundhogs during its busiest season. Founder Betsy Shank said a rescued squirrel brought in by James Eager is expected to recover after receiving care. WGAL

- ➤ The Warwick Community Ambulance Association is now looking for a new chief and executive director after Robert Walker, who led the department, left his position on Apr. 9. The association did not provide a reason for his departure. WGAL
- ➤ The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services extended the LIHEAP home heating assistance deadline from April 10 to May 8 to give eligible residents extra time to apply after a delayed start caused by the federal shutdown.
