- ➤ On March 9th a plane crashed at Brethren Village when the pilot heard a loud pop and the door opened during takeoff, forcing him to return while the aircraft shook and struck parked cars—leaving two people seriously injured and three with minor injuries. WDAC
- ➤ Traffic is heavily backed up on eastbound Route 283 near the Route 30 interchange in Manheim Township this morning around 8 a.m., with emergency crews blocking one lane to clear debris while officials have not yet reported the number of vehicles involved or any injuries. WGAL
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Robert Bard, a 56-year-old Lancaster man, was arrested and arraigned yesterday on stalking, indecent exposure, and open lewdness charges after police investigated reports from June 25th, 2024, of him following a victim between Yoder’s Country Market and Main Street and from July 16th, 2024, of suspicious activity at Groff Park — the investigation spanned several Lancaster County parks. - ➤ Justin Miranda, 51, who claimed he was a federal agent while prowling businesses in Quarryville on April 16, fled on foot when approached by police and was later arrested at Lancaster County Prison for impersonating a public official and obstructing law enforcement—authorities said he faces coordination with Virginia on his extradition.
