ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A crash left several people injured on Route 30 in Paradise Township Saturday night—State Police are investigating the incident.  Local 21 News
  • Crews responded around 7:30 a.m. Sunday to a single-vehicle crash on the Norman Wood Bridge in Martic Township—both lanes were closed as state police investigate the cause with no reports of injuries.  WGAL

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Saturday, a wreath-laying ceremony was held in Lancaster at Woodward Hill Cemetery to honor President James Buchanan, the nation’s 15th president; community leaders and guests attended the event. The ceremony featured a ceremonial wreath (with a 21-gun salute) and a display of a new American flag (accompanied by remarks from Brig. Gen. Francis R. Montgomery) to mark Buchanan’s legacy.  WGAL

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Starting Tuesday, April 22, PennDOT will mill the northbound lane of Route 222 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Thursday, April 24 and will resume the work next week; the pavement preservation project covers the road from the Mohler Church Road overpass in Ephrata Township to Col. Howard Boulevard at the Denver/PA Turnpike Exit in East Cocalico Township.  PennLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • The North Face recalled about 15,200 pairs of Shellista V Mid Waterproof Boots after a design flaw caused one boot’s top hook to catch the lace of its partner, leading to 28 falls and 15 minor injuries + customers who bought the boots from September 2024 to January 2025 for around $165 are urged to return them for a full refund.  Daily Voice

  • Lancaster Stormers held Fan Fest on April 19 at Penn Medicine Park where they won a spring training scrimmage 4-1 over the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars—energizing local fans—and raising hopes for a strong season. They will begin the season with road games before their home opener against the Gastonia Ghost Peppers on May 2.  FOX43
