ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A Lancaster County family lost two children in a car crash on April 18 while traveling on vacation when their SUV was hit by an erratic driver; 13-year-old Carson died at the scene and 10-year-old Annika died the next day after being rescued from wreckage (funeral services will be held Thursday at Petra Church in New Holland).  WGAL
  • On April 19 at 10:50 p.m.—a Saturday—we learned that six people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of Lincoln Highway East and Singer Avenue in Paradise Township when 34-year-old Douglas Lewis Jr. swerved his Hyundai Sonata into an oncoming Toyota Highlander while driving with his 3-year-old son, and state police confirmed he was impaired and arraigned on charges including aggravated assault by vehicle and endangering children.  WDAC
  • Two children, 13-year-old Carson and 10-year-old Annika, died in an early Friday morning crash as the Rollman family from Lancaster County was traveling through Maryland to South Carolina—no arrests have been made and a GoFundMe has raised $75,000 for the family.  WGAL

  • A Lancaster County man is accused of drunk driving and crashing head-on into an SUV near South Singer Avenue in Paradise Township on April 19—injuring a 7-year-old who broke a femur and five others, with all six taken to Lancaster General Hospital.  Daily Voice
  • A Lancaster County man drove under the influence with his 3-year-old son on Saturday night and swerved into eastbound lanes near South Singer Avenue in Paradise Township at 10:51 p.m.—hitting a Toyota Highlander carrying four people including a 7-year-old who broke a skull and femur, and he was charged with multiple offenses with a preliminary hearing set for May 2.  PennLive
