COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Luther Acres healthcare center in Lititz celebrated five centenarians on Tuesday with a bouquet of roses, cake, and singing of 'Happy Birthday.' Family, friends and staff honored the seniors as they reached a milestone of 100 years of life and wisdom.  FOX43

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Stay Apparel Co. announced Tuesday it will move from Hershey to a new storefront at 206 S. Market St. in downtown Elizabethtown in early June — the business will also join WhirliGig’s annual pop-up celebration on May 3.  FOX43
  • Sprout Vietnamese Eatery in downtown Lancaster will close its doors on Saturday to let its owner focus on Rice and Noodles in Manheim Township (gift cards for Sprout will be honored there).  WGAL
  • Manheim Township Manager Rick Kane said that despite Wawa receiving PennDOT funding to build Tesla superchargers at Harrisburg Pike and Dillerville Road (currently home to Second Chance Plants) the company did not file plans to build a store and walked away last year.   • A 6-year-old girl was hospitalized after unintentionally ingesting illegal marijuana edibles found in her backyard, Lancaster Township police said, as officials urge parents to talk with children about stray candy packages.  Local 21 News

  • Residents celebrated the completion of the revitalized Bausman Exchange (formerly Place Marie) on Tuesday on Orange Street. The historic building was converted into office space, short-term rentals and a retail arcade, featuring a ribbon-cutting for the new HQ by Regus.  WGAL
