ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Wednesday, a school van and a pickup truck crashed head-on on Route 222 near Solanco Road in East Drumore Township at 5:16 p.m., and crews removed the pickup truck’s door—freeing the trapped person—while two people were injured and no students were on board.  WGAL

CRIME NEWS

  • A 61-year-old man, John Esh from Strasburg, is charged with aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors after police said he sexually assaulted multiple women during unlicensed treatments offered to Plain community members in Lancaster County over the past decade—he told police he never had any formal medical training.  PennLive

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Governor Josh Shapiro announced that the Commonwealth is investing more than $4 million to support Kettle and Fire's first manufacturing facility, which will boost the local economy with over $19.1 million in investment and create at least 149 good paying jobs in Lancaster County. The 167,000 square foot facility at 425 Ben Franklin Boulevard is equipped with advanced food production systems (DCED Secretary Rick Siger helped cut the ribbon).  WDAC

  • At George Ross Elementary, director Adonica Spolum inspired her students during The Little Mermaid Junior show even as she faced breast cancer after being diagnosed on June 6. She had a double mastectomy in October and will have one more surgery Tuesday before returning to teaching full time next school year.  WGAL

  • After a viral video from March 2nd showed police using force on teens, Lancaster Stands Up is calling for a civilian review board—community leaders met at a town hall to demand more oversight and accountability in police practices.  Local 21 News
