A caller sprinted over 1,400 feet on Monday to call 911 after a man was struck by an older Amish-style wooden hay wagon with steel wheels on Horseshoe Road—responders quickly arrived and treated him before he was taken to a local hospital.

A man was hit by a large Amish-style wooden hay wagon—estimated between 3,000 and 14,000 pounds—and taken to a hospital after being struck in a field on the 2000 block of Horseshoe Road in East Lampeter Township shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

A new mobile WIC van is now serving Lancaster County families by bringing free health services to their doorsteps—offering nutrition counseling and food benefits.
