- ➤ A man in Lancaster County is facing charges for aggravated cruelty to animals after he reportedly severed his dog's leg with scissors on May 9—veterinary officials say he refused further care despite repeated requests and the injured dog is now recovering at Mainline Animal Rescue. - ➤ A man was charged with burglary and criminal mischief after breaking into a home on the 1200 block of Pleasure Road—where the victim found feces and damaged items estimated at $70—and he is now held in Lancaster County Prison, police said. WGAL
- ➤ Michael Robert McDonald, 30, of Willow Street was charged with aggravated assault & child endangerment after allegedly shaking his 2‑month‑old baby causing permanent brain injuries, and he was arraigned on May 30 with a preliminary hearing set for June 10. FOX43
- ➤ A 42 year old Lancaster County man driving a stolen vehicle hit a utility pole Monday morning on Route 340—his crash caused a truck to clip a sagging wire and knock down a second pole—leading officials to close the road and arrest him on charges including DUI, receiving stolen property, evading arrest and driving with a suspended license since 2008.
