ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A kitchen fire in Lititz injured one person when responders arrived at the 300 block of East Marion Street at 10 a.m. Saturday—fire crews remain on scene. WGAL
- ➤ One person was injured and five are displaced after an early morning fire on the 300 block of South Broad Street just after 7 a.m.—the Red Cross and city housing along with the fire marshal responded to the scene. WGAL
- ➤ A fire broke out on South Broad Street Saturday morning around 7am in a Lancaster rowhome, injuring one person and displacing five residents while the Red Cross provided help—state fire marshal is investigating the cause. Local 21 News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lancaster police are searching for Minerva Baldrich, a 73-year-old woman with dementia who went missing on June 5 and is believed to be in Lancaster City after possibly heading to a hotel in Ronks— if found, call 911 or Millersville borough police at 717-872-4657. WGAL
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A wildlife center in Washington Borough admitted 27 baby skunks on Thursday, many of which were orphans rescued by a local man who found them near a shed and a deceased mother (staff say the skunks were dehydrated and given fluids) and the center will care for them for several months until they can be released into the wild (the rescue comes as baby season begins in June).
