- ➤ Victoria Vespico, 25, of Shavertown was crowned Miss Pennsylvania 2025 on June 21 at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York — she tap danced to 'Fiddle Faddle' and promoted a sustainability initiative. For winning, she received a $12,000 scholarship and will represent the state at Miss America in Orlando while first runner-up Christina Herman of Lancaster earned a $5,500 scholarship and additional awards. - ➤ Over the weekend, the Fire Police Association held training classes at the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center, with a Basic Fire Police Operations class on Saturday and an Advanced class on Sunday—classes that help volunteers manage traffic in emergencies.
