Good morning, Lancaster.

State police ask for help identifying a woman linked to a group that defrauded victims of over $25,000 in Lancaster County when three men broke into vehicles at Holtwood Nature Preserve on May 25 and cashed stolen checks on June 3 — anyone with information is urged to call PSP Lancaster.

Lancaster police responded to a shots fired incident on the first block of Caroline Street when a woman in her car was targeted by a known suspect who fired multiple shots, hitting the vehicle twice and then fleeing on foot— authorities said the suspect, David Porter Jr., now faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person with a warrant issued for his arrest.

The Lancaster Pride Festival celebrated its 17th year at the Lancaster Convention Center on Saturday with performances, vendor booths, and a speech by Governor Josh Shapiro & local artists unveiling murals to show that everyone belongs.

The event brought the community together and marked a significant display of inclusion and support for the queer community.

A long-standing hazmat team will close today because a contract dispute with county officials led to unsustainable added work—county leaders promise a new team will soon take over to prevent any service gap.
