ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Flash flooding from severe storms washed away a section of Evans Road in Elizabeth Township on Monday and the creek rose near Lititz, leaving the road closed from Mumma Road to Zartman Mill Road—authorities say more severe weather is expected today.  WGAL
  • A black horse was rescued from a manure pit in the 200 block of Cedar Hill Road in Little Britain Township by the Robert Fulton Fire Company at 8:20 a.m. Monday morning (the horse was unharmed as crews used rescue slings and a crane truck to lift it safely and cleared the scene about two hours later).  WGAL
  • Crews from the Robert Fulton Fire Company rescued a black horse that had been stuck in a manure pit on Cedar Hill Road in Little Britain Township Monday morning at 8:20 a.m.—using rescue slings and a crane truck to lift the animal safely. The scene was cleared about two hours later and the horse was unharmed.  WGAL

CRIME NEWS

  • On Monday at 8:45 a.m. police responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Dogwood Lane near Willow Lane in Salisbury Township—injuries are unknown while state police investigate the incident.  WGAL
  • A 17-year-old was arrested for attempted homicide on Saturday evening in Lancaster when police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of South Christian Street—officers found a man with a gunshot wound who was taken to the hospital, and the teen will face charges as an adult for multiple offenses.  Local 21 News
  • A Pennsylvania man (27-year-old Shydon Roberts-Langhorn) was arrested on June 24 on South Queen Street after victims identified him in separate incidents where he groped a child and followed a woman out of a store—offering her money for sex before assaulting her on the street—and surveillance footage later confirmed his involvement with additional charges filed.  Daily Voice
