  • Rutter's is adding six new hotdogs to its summer menu for a limited time through Aug. 31. The new options—including the BLT Dog and Fried Pickle Dog—are supplied by a local family-owned business and are made with 100% beef or a blend of beef and pork, bringing the total hotdog offerings to 11.  Local 21 News

CRIME NEWS

  • Lancaster County Regional Police are investigating Kevin Ahn after his estranged sister reported odd behavior on March 24 in Manheim Borough—he is accused of strangling 83-year-old Sun Tok Lim and 69-year-old In Yong Kim in Maryland by using belts and staging the scene to mimic a suicide, and he was earlier arrested for allegedly transporting his mother's body.  WGAL
  • A 36-year-old Chicago man, Patrick L. Tribune, stole and altered nearly $39K in checks from White Horse Machine LLC in Gap, PA—he cashed them in Chicago and now faces four felony counts with a warrant issued for his arrest.  Daily Voice
  • A shooting occurred Wednesday night around 10:22 p.m. on South Price Street near West Farnum Street in Lancaster and left one victim hospitalized—officials have not provided details on the victim’s condition.  WGAL
  • Lancaster County police charged Mark Patrick McNeal (69) of Ephrata with multiple felonies after a raid on the 100 block of Partridge Drive on June 3 found devices holding numerous images of naked children; he was arraigned on July 1 with unsecured bail set at $50,000.  Daily Voice

  • Governor Josh Shapiro signed a law today at the state capitol that lets EMS workers leave Narcan at overdose scenes so victims and families can work to stop future emergencies — the law takes effect in 60 days.  WGAL

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Shapiro administration announced Pennsylvania has joined three multi-state licensure compacts with over 30 states to let out-of-state doctors, nurses and physical therapists get licensed faster—this move aims to ease the nursing shortage by filling vacancies in both urban and rural areas.  FOX43
