Good morning, Lancaster.

East Lampeter Township police are seeking three suspects who allegedly cashed fraudulent checks valued over $1,900 at a grocery store on Route 30 East in Lancaster County, with two suspects using Honduran photo identification and a third turned away—anyone with tips is asked to call 717-291-4676.

Lancaster police said Thursday a man was hospitalized after a shooting near South Water and West Strawberry streets — a suspect was taken into custody and may be linked to another shooting on South Prince Street on Wednesday evening.

Retired Manheim Township police officer Dave Bair, known for his steady leadership, passed away at 60 on July 10 after serving from 1989 to 2014, leaving a lasting mark on his colleagues and community.

Acting Chief Brian E. Freysz said Bair's calm presence and dedication will be greatly missed by his family + everyone he served.
