ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A plane crashed Sunday morning near Lancaster Airport around 8 a.m. on the 2100 block of Kissel Hill Road in Warwick Township — emergency crews and the coroner were dispatched to the scene.  WGAL
  • The NTSB opened an investigation into the fatal Piper PA46 crash that occurred Sunday at about 8 a.m. after the plane took off from Lancaster Airport, and two investigators are en route to document the wreckage & move the aircraft for further evaluation.  WGAL
  • On Sunday, March 9, an aircraft crashed in Warwick Township near Lancaster Airport and the coroner was called while later a small plane crashed into a retirement community parking lot with all five occupants taken to hospitals—two of whom, the pilot and his son, were treated for burns—and a different plane with landing gear problems landed safely at about 10:30 a.m. on March 6.  PennLive
  • A man reading his paper on his porch near Lancaster Airport saw a Piper PA-46 plane crash on Sunday at 8 a.m. that left debris spread across 30 to 60 yards and caused the pilot’s death — he and Amish neighbors quickly rushed to the scene and called 911.  WGAL

  • On July 18, David Kittredge was found dead in a field along the 1400 block of Gaskill Avenue in Salisbury Township at 7:24 a.m.—Mom’s Helping Hands owner Angela Warner-Logothetis, who called him family, said police are investigating his death and searching for the suspect who invaded his home.  Daily Voice
