- ➤ On Thursday morning at 4:45 a.m., a 24-year-old bicyclist named Christopher Scott Noto died after he turned from the rail trail into the path of a southbound 2012 Ford Fusion on Rothsville Road near Shirley Lane—while the vehicle’s driver, 28-year-old Daniel Scott Hinerdeer, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. - ➤ Police in Lancaster County are searching for a driver in Mount Joy Township who allegedly attempted to lure a child into his vehicle on Thursday at 11:20 a.m. near Creek Road and North Colebrook Road— the suspect in a black Chevrolet Impala reportedly placed his hands on the child, who escaped safely. - ➤ A Lebanon County man, Bryant Pagan-Rodriguez of Jonestown, was arrested after he fired several shots into a home with three people inside on the 400 block of Lehman Street in Lebanon City at about 12:30 a.m. on June 27—officers found bullet fragments and casings and said he was told by an inmate at the Lancaster County Correctional Facility to shoot. - ➤ The Lancaster County Office of Aging announced that senior center hours will be extended from Monday through Wednesday next week due to high temperatures.
