ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 13-year-old riding a jet ski near the State Hill Boat Ramp at Blue Marsh Lake was struck by a motorized bass boat Saturday at 1:30 p.m.—they were taken to Reading Hospital for treatment. Local 21 News
- ➤ A SUV crashed into a brick support column at a strip mall on West Main Street in New Holland around 5:45 p.m.—fire crews later stabilized the column and discovered trash from 1991 left by construction workers, and no one was hurt. Local 21 News
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Curtis International recalled about 634,000 Frigidaire-brand mini refrigerators sold at Walmart and Amazon because the internal parts can short-circuit and ignite the plastic housing—26 reports noted melting, smoke, or fire with two cases of smoke inhalation and more than $700K in property damage. The models were sold from January 2020 to December 2023 for $36 to $40, and owners are urged to unplug and properly dispose of them. Daily Voice

- ➤ Police responded early Saturday morning on the 1900 block of Lincoln Highway East in East Lampeter Township when they found an adult with a gunshot wound to the head who was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries—and after an investigation, officers charged Marquis Angel Aguilera with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of other instruments of crime, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. - ➤ A Pennsylvania dentist's longtime mistress is speaking from prison in Hulu’s docuseries — Trophy Wife: Murder on Safari — where she disputes claims that she pressured him in the 2016 safari murder of his wife and the subsequent $4.8M life insurance payout that led to his conviction. Daily Voice
- ➤ The Lancaster Township Police Department is asking the public to help locate Jonathan Perez, who is wanted for fraud that occurred in May 2025 - call 717-892-5873 if you have information. WGAL

- ➤ Stargazers in Lancaster can expect a rare sky show as the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids peak from Tuesday evening through early Wednesday morning, offering up to 30 shooting stars per hour. Daily Voice

- ➤ On July 24, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Pura Scents recalled about 851,400 Pura 4 Smart Home Fragrance Diffusers because loose magnets in the detachable cover may be swallowed by children—three incidents were reported with no confirmed injuries.
