- ➤ A Lancaster County man, Christian Noto (24), was hit and killed by a car while riding his bike near Shirley Lane and Rothsville Road on July 24 after visiting his two young sons, and his family has started a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses while urging officials to improve trail crossing safety with measures such as a stop sign. - ➤ Crews began tearing down a business in Warwick Township after a fire broke out in the 700 block of Rothsville Road Tuesday at 11:40 p.m. and was under control by 2 a.m. Wednesday — excavators removed the building. Local 21 News
- ➤ Crews responded to an overnight fire at Sylvan Brandt antique flooring in Warwick Township— the call came just after 11:30 Tuesday night with no injuries reported as teams dismantled part of the building, the fire marshall began investigating the cause, and Rothsville Road known as Route 772 was shut down overnight. - ➤ On July 13 just after 2:30 a.m., 33-year-old Daniel Lee Orlando from the 700 block of Manor Street allegedly helped 34-year-old Venecia Lopez fire three shots into a Prospect Street home with four people inside—Orlando later admitted taking the gun to hide it from police while Lopez remains in prison without bail and he is held on $500,000 cash bail. - ➤ ABC Rose Spa at 107 W. Main St. in Ephrata is closed as police investigate human trafficking and prostitution after an anonymous tip led to a search warrant that resulted in a misdemeanor prostitution charge against a 35-year-old Chinese national. Local 21 News
- ➤ Angel Luis Cintron, 46, pleaded guilty in May to possessing a loaded gun and drug paraphernalia while under a protection order and was sentenced to five to ten years in state prison on July 24—authorities said he had kept the weapon and drugs at his Washington Avenue home. Daily Voice
