National Night Out is today—bringing neighbors together with law enforcement—and offers free community events with food, games and activities across the region.

Organizers in various townships hold these events from 5 to 8 p.m. to help build trust between residents and police.

The 15-year-old boy Omar Fisher—of Peach Bottom—drowned after jumping off a dock into the pond at the 100 block of Herr Drive in Fulton Township on Sunday afternoon as the Rawlinsville Fire Company’s dive team recovered him and the coroner ruled his death accidental.

A three-vehicle crash blocked traffic at the Route 30 westbound exit on York Road in Manheim Township on August 4th, with one vehicle overturned and police investigating delays (the incident occurred between Oregon Pike/Route 272 and Lititz Pike/Route 501).

A Lancaster woman, Evangeline Roth, pleaded guilty on July 29 to DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle, and other charges after a June 22, 2024 crash on State Route 462 nearly paralyzed a man—she now awaits sentencing.
