- ➤ Empower Brands recalled about 56,300 Remington hair dryers on August 14 because the devices can electrocute users if dropped in water while still plugged in. Owners are told to unplug their dryers and submit a photo with the power cord cut in half to get a refund — the dryers were sold online at Amazon, Target Marketplace, and Walmart Marketplace.
