A car hit the back of a tractor-trailer on Route 222 in Manheim Township on Monday — leaving the sedan lodged halfway under the truck and trapping the driver until rescue crews freed them in about 20 minutes; the driver was taken to a hospital and their condition remains unknown.

State police are searching for a suspect who tased and punched a 68-year-old woman around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at a home on South Belmont Road in Paradise Township—he was last seen in all black fleeing north toward Strasburg Road.

Millersville University welcomes about 1,600 new and transfer students today as they move into residence halls from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.—the university will also take a class photo on Friday and host a candle-lighting ceremony at the pond.
