- ➤ Six months after 5,000 gallons of sewage flooded Lancaster Public Library, the facility still has unrepaired floors and limited computer access from noon to 4 p.m. Library executive director Lissa Holland said a demand letter was sent to the landlord—Lancaster Parking Authority—and the library is planning steps to prevent a repeat incident as circulation drops by 25% and government funding declines. - ➤ After more than a year of renovations caused by a devastating fire— which forced it to move from its original location— the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant will reopen at 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike on August 28 to serve lunch and dinner. It will add breakfast service on September 11 with updated operating hours. FOX43

- ➤ 10-year-old Caleb Miller remains on life support in the pediatric ICU after a Saturday pool accident in Lancaster County left him face down in water for four to five minutes—bystanders and EMTs quickly performed CPR, and his recovery now shows small signs of improvement. Local 21 News
