- ➤ State police are investigating a death at a home on the 100 block of East State Street in Quarryville—assisted by the Lancaster Criminal Investigation Unit and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office—after dispatchers reported a response at 2 a.m. that closed East State Street. WGAL
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Late Wednesday night, NASA launched three research rockets from Wallops Island, Va.—the rockets were visible in the Susquehanna Valley after two days of delays. The rockets will study the mesopause to help scientists learn about changes in the atmosphere. WGAL

- ➤ Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant reopened yesterday, serving a Pennsylvania Dutch buffet from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The restaurant now offers a new hot bar and salad bar—breakfast is expected to return by mid-September. WGAL
