  • Elizabeth Crompton, who attended Glenside Weldon Elementary School, posted on Facebook about searching for Regina Ford, her childhood best friend separated during foster care in the late 1980s—Regina was known for her red curly hair and warm smile and was last seen when moved to another foster home. Crompton said that finding Regina would ease her long-held worry and urged the community to share any helpful information.  Daily Voice

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • More than eight small brush fires blazed along 283 westbound in Lancaster and Dauphin counties on Saturday night—fires began near mile marker 19 at 8:40 p.m. and were largely out by 9:30 p.m., with lane restrictions in effect while the road stayed open.  WGAL

CRIME NEWS

  • State Police said that on August 15 at 5:20 p.m. a 36-year-old Quarryville woman and a male suspect exited their vehicles in Eden Township near Valley Road and SR 372 to argue, during which the suspect reportedly pointed a gun at the woman—officials are investigating the incident.  Local 21 News
  • A woman in Lancaster County has been charged with theft after she reportedly stole nearly $6,000 from a local cub scout pack between June 2021 and July 2023—she used the money on DoorDash, Netflix, a tattoo, and various checks.  Local 21 News

  • On Saturday, Penn State beat Nevada 46-11 as Nicholas Singleton ran for two touchdowns and the team forced three turnovers. The No. 2 Nittany Lions outgained Nevada 436-203—demonstrating a dominant season-opening performance.  WGAL
