Good morning, Lancaster.
🏥 Health
Lancaster County health officials note a rise in measles cases while emphasizing that Amish and Mennonite communities do get vaccinations at local clinics.
Pop-up clinics for children and adults meet increasing demand (with regular clinics held every other month starting in February).
The Lancaster County Coroner confirmed his office is investigating the death of a second person who had measles, which occurred a few weeks ago.
Officials have not released additional demographic details or confirmed if measles played a role (it did not in a separate newborn case on Aug. 14).
📰 Real Estate
Historic Keystone Building in Columbia is being demolished after tornado damage, with owner Cody Shoemaker saying the process will take about a month for safety reasons; he plans to let residents collect bricks later to keep pieces of its history (neighbors watched the start).
