ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A driver was taken to the hospital after being trapped in a wrecked SUV that slid against a guide rail on Quarry Road in Upper Leacock Township around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday — rescue crews cut through the roof to free the driver.  WGAL
  • A motorcyclist died after losing control on a curve on South Chiques Road in Manheim on Sept. 2 and officers found he was not wearing a helmet—any witness is urged to call Officer Benjamin Weaver.  Daily Voice

CRIME NEWS

  • A Lititz man named Daryl F. Heller who owned several Lancaster companies has been charged with securities and wire fraud after running a scheme that cost investors $402 million by promising to use funds to buy ATMs—he instead used the money for personal expenses and to pay earlier backers, which led to his companies stopping payments and closing in December 2024.  Local 21 News
  • Donald Eric Stoner, 74, barricaded himself inside his Spring Hollow Drive home in New Holland and threatened to kill his wife before setting the residence on fire while police attempted to serve him with an involuntary commitment warrant on Sept. 2—he was later arrested and taken to a hospital after sunrise.  Daily Voice
