COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Manor Township Police—working with an animal rescue service—are trying to trap multiple pigs running loose around the Conestoga Country Club this weekend, and officials asked residents not to feed or chase the animals.  Local 21 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Elizabethtown mother Vicky uses Facebook to seek a personal care aide for her 12-year-old son Isaiah who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta and needs extra support at school as he enters sixth grade. The Elizabethtown school district is short of paraprofessionals — prompting the family to ask the local community for help with consistent, kind, and timely assistance.  WGAL

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lancaster City police confirmed on Friday they are working with the School District to ensure the safety of students and staff after an employee allegedly posted about Charlie Kirk online. Officers said they are addressing community concerns by working directly with schools to manage the situation.  Local 21 News

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Pennsylvania now allows Sunday hunting, giving local hunters an extra day to pursue deer. Ander Frey at Southern End Outdoors in Lancaster said he looks forward to the deer season—sales and hunting licenses have already increased.  WGAL

SPORTS NEWS

  • Conestoga Valley football has improved under Coach Scepanski since he took charge in 2022, as the team built a 28-9 record with an 11-1 season last year and three straight wins to start 2025. They played their Lanc-Leb rival Ephrata at home on Sept. 12—demonstrating strong teamwork and adaptability.  FOX43
