- ➤ Volunteers from Eastern Snouts are helping police capture two stray potbelly pigs seen roaming in Manheim and Manor townships—one near Bent Creek and another near Conestoga Country Club. The police said they lack training for pig rescues and the group is working with local residents to lure the pigs into pens for safe rehoming. PennLive
- ➤ A local wildlife rehabilitation center in Lancaster mourned the loss of Snags, a harness-trained squirrel known for educating over 50,000 people, after she died on September 3. The center said it will hold a celebration of her life on September 21 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. — inviting residents to share stories and honor her legacy. Local 21 News

- ➤ The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association District 3 Committee said the 2025-26 basketball championships will not take place at the GIANT Center in Hershey because scheduling conflicts arose — championship games will instead be held at neutral high schools on Feb. 25, 26, and 27 with more details coming soon.
