- ➤ On Monday night, four mules wandering near Rawlinsville and Providence Township in Lancaster County were safely captured and returned to their owner — authorities said a couple called the police after spotting them. WGAL
- ➤ Sauder's Eggs in Lancaster County donated 280,000 eggs to local charities to support families affected by the government shutdown and loss of SNAP benefits — the eggs were supplied by local farmers and delivered by truck to Blessings of Hope, Lancaster Food Hub, and Lebanon County Christian Ministries. They will reach over 73,000 people in the coming days. WGAL

- ➤ Lucky, a horse involved in a horse-and-buggy crash with a tractor-trailer in York County on Oct. 18 suffered severe injuries and received emergency treatment; he now faces six months of stall rest and recovery costs exceeding $1,500 per month (according to a GoFundMe campaign). Daily Voice

- ➤ A white light was seen Tuesday evening across South-Central Pennsylvania and was believed to be the European Space Agency’s Ariane 6 rocket that launched at 4:02 p.m. local time from Kourou in French Guiana. The rocket deployed the Sentinel-1D satellite to provide radar imagery for disaster response teams. WGAL

- ➤ A wind advisory and high wind watch are in effect from 1 p.m. today until 10 a.m. Thursday for South-Central Pennsylvania—Lancaster and nearby counties could see west winds gusting up to 45 mph that may disrupt travel and damage loose items. Residents should secure outdoor belongings and exercise caution while driving during the windy conditions. WGAL
