- ➤ Tenfold’s Transitional Living Center in Lancaster began renovations in June 2025 as part of a capital campaign project to upgrade the historic 1910 hotel that has served as a shelter for the homeless and veterans; the center will increase its 46 rooms and boost ADA-accessible rooms from two to six (completion is expected in June 2026). - ➤ The Extra Give, Susquehanna Valley's largest day of online giving, begins at 12 a.m. Friday with more than 400 organizations available for donations including the Discovering Paths Mentoring Program—News 8’s Lori Burkholder will emcee the Extra Give Fest at the Lancaster County Convention Center Friday night. - ➤ The CoJoMotion Dance Company of the Lititz Academy of Dance will perform its 21st annual holiday show, A Season for Wishes, on Dec. 13 at Lancaster Mennonite High Performing Arts Center—raising funds for Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware, and Susquehanna Valley. Artistic director Lisa Kalinowski praised the dancers' hard work and noted that this performance marks dancer Cora McBee's final season after eight years with the show. WGAL

- ➤ Images from students reveal sewage nearly flooding bathrooms and mold in Elizabethtown High School, and teacher Jim Safford said health hazards have worsened with nearly weekly sewage backups—students report that these issues affect their learning environment. - ➤ On November 18th, the U.S. Department of Energy awarded Constellation a $1 billion low-interest loan to support restarting Reactor 1 at Three Mile Island, a project expected to add over 800 megawatts of power to the grid. The project is 80 percent complete with about 500 full-time workers and 3,400 contractors and is set to reopen under the Crane Clean Energy Center name in 2027—local investments are anticipated to boost the economy.
