- ➤ This morning, ZooAmerica announced that their beloved black bear Murphy was euthanized (after battling severe stomach problems) when treatment options could not save him. Local 21 News
- ➤ Farmers markets across the Susquehanna Valley have extended their hours for Thanksgiving to help customers pick up last-minute items. Lancaster Central Market and others are gearing up for the busy day—vendors report extra orders— as shoppers prepare for the holiday. WGAL
- ➤ U.S. Army Air Forces Staff Sgt. Clifford Keeney from York Township, who was killed in action in September when his plane was shot down in Germany, will be buried Friday at noon at Christ Church Cemetery in Jacobus. His remains were discovered in 1991, recovered in 2008, and identified last June, and the burial is open to the public. WGAL

- ➤ Amtrak completed the North Platform reconstruction at Lancaster Station earlier this month—installing new foundations, rehabilitating canopies and stairwells, and updating the overhead catenary—and now the station has two fully accessible high-level platforms. PennLive
- ➤ Pennsylvania's statewide firearms deer season will begin Saturday, November 29th and run through December 13th, with Sunday hunts on November 30th and December 7th. The Game Commission reminded hunters to use proper licenses for antlered and antlerless deer, to report harvests on time, and to follow safety rules — including wearing the required fluorescent orange gear. - ➤ A new federal policy may soon remove passport services from nonprofit libraries in Lancaster and Perry counties—Ephrata and Marysville-Rye have provided these services for decades without issue. The libraries are asking lawmakers for help to keep this important service available, as its loss would force residents to travel farther for passport appointments. FOX43

- ➤ Supreme Deli is assisting in a recall for two Boar’s Head grated cheese products — made with pecorino Romano that may carry Listeria monocytogenes — which were sold at Kroger stores in Kentucky and Indiana.
