  • Communities across south-central Pennsylvania are hosting turkey trots today to kick off Thanksgiving morning with races scheduled from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.—Lancaster County's Great Turkey Chase 5K starts at 8:15 a.m. and other counties offer events for families to run or walk.  WGAL
  • Beau is a 1-year-old Jack Russell terrier from Pet Pantry of Lancaster County who is shy at first but becomes friendly when he warms up — he loves playing outside with kids and other dogs and is looking for his forever home soon.  FOX43

CULTURE NEWS

  • Lancaster natives Maggie Spealman and Noel Seitz from Manheim Township are set to debut in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade today as they join Temple University’s Diamond Marching Band—performing around 9:40—10:10 a.m. as the band marks its 100th anniversary.  WGAL

HEALTH NEWS

  • UPMC Lititz in Lancaster County marked a milestone yesterday when its Magee-Womens unit delivered four sets of twins — three sets were twin boys and one set was twin girls, and the hospital is on track to deliver 1,340 babies this year, more than last year.  WGAL

  • Trinity won a last-minute quarterfinal game and will face undefeated defending state champion Northwestern Lehigh at 7 p.m. Friday at Exeter Township High School.
