Good morning, Lancaster.

Lancaster Snow Angels, a volunteer nonprofit, will launch its first-ever raffles in December to raise funds for expanding services such as snow removal, lawn care, and emergency repairs for seniors, veterans and others in need — the raffles offer prizes like a Silverado, a Ninja Kitchen makeover and a gift card mega prize.

The 18th annual gift fair in Lancaster County is underway today—holiday shoppers can buy fair trade gifts and donate to over 35 nonprofits that support local causes.

Fair coordinator Jennifer Knepper said groups like SWAN help children affected by parental incarceration by funding music lessons and other support programs.

Lancaster shops held a strong Small Business Saturday where families shopped for unique gifts and handmade crafts, and two-thirds of every dollar stayed local—supporting community businesses that share Lancaster’s character.
