- ➤ Eighteen Lancaster County restaurants are teaming with CAP on the weeklong 'Nourish the Neighborhood' campaign — they will donate portions of sales or designated items to 37 food pantries to help fight food insecurity until Sunday. Local 21 News

- ➤ Highland Elementary School in Ephrata held a parade and fundraiser on Dec. 4 to celebrate a student's safe return from CHOP. Students wore pajamas during the event — which helped raise funds for children at the hospital. WGAL
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A supermoon illuminated the sky Thursday night in South-Central Pennsylvania as it neared its closest point to Earth — the closest it will be until 2042. The moon rose at 4:07 p.m., reached fullness at 6:14 p.m., and viewing conditions were reported as good. WGAL
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Postal workers at the Lititz Post Office are handling a surge in holiday shipments with millions sent daily this season. To ensure packages arrive by December 25, customers should abide by mail-by dates — Ground Advantage by Dec. 17, Priority by Dec. 18, and Priority Mail Express by Dec. 20. WGAL

- ➤ The FDA announced a recall of over 1 million bags of shredded cheese sold at major retailers including Walmart, Publix, Aldi (with products such as mozzarella blends and Italian-style cheeses) after potential metal fragments were found.
