- ➤ Pennsylvania invested $6.9 million today to protect 27 farms across 13 counties through its Farmland Preservation Program. The Shapiro administration + local governments purchased development rights to keep farmland—including several farms in Lancaster County—for agriculture instead of conversion to housing or shopping centers.
