- ➤ At Grace Church in Ephrata, Quilts of Valor honored four veterans by hand-delivering red, white, & blue quilts as a thank you for their service. Recipients from the Navy & Army will be featured on WGAL 8 In Focus this Sunday. WGAL
- ➤ Lancaster moms are organizing a sensory-friendly holiday party on Friday to give families with children with autism free food, gifts, and an appearance by Santa along with special sensory toys donated by the community to create a welcoming celebration. FOX43
- ➤ Back in the winter of 1987, the Humane League of Lancaster County hosted a Christmas Bazaar where pet owners lined up for festive photos with Santa and learned key pet holiday safety tips, such as avoiding poisonous poinsettias + dangerous ornaments. WGAL
- ➤ Rescuers in York County recovered Dallas Cheddar, a dog with a cheese ball container stuck on her head, after a days-long search in a Dillsburg cornfield using social media and drones. The dog recovered well, was adopted, and Bickel’s Snack Foods covered her medical bills (gift of cheese balls included). WGAL
- ➤ A Rotary Club of Mount Joy group plans a memorial honoring 10 local men involved in the Malmedy Massacre, including Harold Billow who placed 87 American flags. The memorial with name-bearing bricks will be complete by Memorial Day 2026 in Mount Joy. WGAL

- ➤ Thirty-six state attorneys general reached a $9 million settlement with Kia & Hyundai after thefts exposed defects from missing engine immobilizers. Pennsylvania auto owners with eligible vehicles from 2011 to 2022 may claim up to $4,500 and receive free hardware fixes; claims are accepted until March 31. WGAL
- ➤ Kuppy's Diner in Middletown reported that its nearly 93-year-old neon sign was hit by a tractor-trailer on Monday, which also caused roof damage; the diner filed a police report and is now working with customer contacts to repair the sign. WGAL

- ➤ Exoticca surveyed 3,021 Americans to rank festive towns for their Hallmark movie appeal, and the results show that Lancaster County’s Lititz + Bethlehem, known for its historic charm, are top picks for holiday backdrops. Daily Voice
- ➤ In 1982, WGAL interviewed a local rabbi who explained that Hanukkah—a holiday that marks Judah Maccabee's victory and the miracle of oil lasting eight days—remains a festive tradition that brings families together in the Susquehanna Valley. WGAL
