- ➤ Lancaster residents are supporting the Gring family after a fire destroyed their Manor Township home and belongings less than a week before Christmas, affecting treasured keepsakes. Donations are accepted at Ric's Bread on Queen Street and at Central Market on Tuesday (today) and Wednesday. WGAL
- ➤ Residents can enjoy the next 25 Nights of Lights at 2336 Columbia Avenue as dazzling holiday displays air at 11 p.m. every night until Christmas Eve (watch on live TV). WGAL

- ➤ Lancaster County reopened its historic Neff’s Mill Covered Bridge on Dec. 17—nearly seven months after a box truck crash—and county officials said the final repair cost has not yet been released. Local 21 News

- ➤ More than 40 years ago, children gathered in WGAL's lobby to meet Santa Claus during the filming of 'Santa Claus Visits Dr. Dud'—set to air that December—while reporter Les Miller asked them about their Christmas wishes. WGAL

ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Shapiro and state officials visited Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories on Monday, Dec. 22, to announce a $147.5M private and $2.1M state-funded expansion — a new 300,000 sqft lab and office addition on the 49-acre campus in Upper Leacock Township that will create 250 jobs. FOX43

- ➤ Throughout 2025, residents in the Susquehanna Valley witnessed rare night sky events, including a rocket fuel dump spiral during the Perseids on Aug. 12, noctilucent clouds on Oct. 16, and northern lights on Nov. 11 (triggered by a severe geomagnetic storm) along with regular Starlink sights. - ➤ Redfin data from Dec. 22 showed active listings dropped 1.4% from October to November, the largest monthly decline since June 2023 + new listings fell 2.2% to a record low since April as pending sales decreased by 2.5%. Daily Voice
