In Elizabethtown, a giving tree at the Church of the Brethren cut student lunch debt from $34K to about $7K before Christmas — the church will keep accepting donations through January to clear the remaining balance.

Lancaster-based Fulton Bank will acquire New Jersey-based Blue Foundry Bancorp in a deal approved by both boards, valued at about $243 million as each share exchanges for 0.65 Fulton shares.

The transaction will close in Q2 2026 and includes a $1.5 million contribution to support local nonprofits.
